If an older version of PADS or other Mentor Graphics software reports that a license cannot be found, update the mgc.pkginfo files using the Mentor License Utility.
If multiple versions of Mentor Graphics software are installed on the computer, the older versions will report that no license was found. In this case, you must run an update on the ` mgc.pkginfo` file, after which the older software versions will work with the new license.
The update is performed using the Mentor License Utility, which is available in the Support Center.
The steps for the update are shown in the images in the PDF guide. Finally, the program displays a list of the updated “ mgc.pkginfo ” files, and the update of the “ mgc.pkginfo ” file is complete.
